From Bonnewitz Irises catalog for 1926: "This Iris, originated by Mr. Bliss, Aphrodite, originated by Mr. Dykes, and Mrs. Marion Cran, originated by Mr. Perry, are supposed to be the finest pink Irises, or rather lilac-pink Irises, in cultivation. Iris enthusiasts will want all of them and will also want to grow seedlings of their own from the seed produced by these varieties."

From J.C. Nicholls Irises catalog for 1928: "A uniform shade of deep rose pink with light orange beard. Nice shape and texture. Grows and blooms well. The pleasing color carries well, and we like it better than others in its color class, Mrs. Marion Cran, Lady Byng, etc."

From Puget Sound Iris catalog for 1929: "An exquisite pink toned iris. Large flowers of a delicate shade of pale lilac rose. When grouped in the border, the flowers appear to be a uniform shade of pure light rose-pink. Free flowering and of robust constitution, very tall, each spike bearing three to four flowers open at the same time. One of the very finest, 3 feet."

From Indian Springs Farms catalog for 1931: "A delightful shade of deep rose-pink, with a light orange beard."
