Deeper in color than Jean Cayeux, a light coffee tan with a glint of gold. This iris was introduced by us last year from Dave Hall, of Chicago, after it had acquired glowing advance publicity.”
From National Iris Gardens catalog for 1948: “M. 36″. A gigantic iris in light coffee-tan color. Standards and falls are heavily ruffled, with a glint of gold shining through the entire flower.”
