The rounded falls are fully flared to the horizontal, and have a dark beard. Both standards and falls are of really exceptional substance, waxen thick in the standards, frozen velvet in the falls. The stems are not tall, 2½ ft, ideal for the front of the iris border, and able to withstand both wind and rain. An exceptional variety, creating instant admiration. Late flowering.”
