From Avonbank Gardens catalog for 1984: “A splendid and nearly everblooming white iris, with yellow beards. The branching of the fall and summer stalks is what I term ‘sheaf’, rather than candelabra. This is effective in the garden, and the stalks carry 15 to 17 buds! The flowers have very good substance, and have rather good form. It will set some good pods, but stars as a pollen parent. It is from our very blue iris, Sister Helen, and should be beyond value as a parent for reblooming blues. In both ’81 and ’82, it bloomed without pause from the last week of July until freeze-up in October.”
