From Mission Bell Gardens catalog for 1981: “Tangerine bearded bicolor plicata! Large, ruffled, wide-petaled flowers, well spaced on strong stalks. Domed standards are salmon-pink (near RHS orange 24D), with deeper toned, violet-tipped style crests. Flaring falls of creamy white are dotted and stippled with raspberry-violet (red-purple 74D to violet 80A). Full tangerine-orange beards (25A). An obliging parent.”
