TB 36″ EM
From Lloyd Austin’s catalog for 1964: “One of the brightest Iris in the entire garden. A bright crimson-red, with a brilliant claret flush below the yellow beard. Adding an air of distinction and making this Iris even more colorful, are prominent bright mahogany epaulets, continuing as a border around the falls. A heavy bloomer. Fertile; has rebloomers in its parentage, so may produce those brilliant reliable rebloomers so many are working for.”
(San Pasqual X Firebright).
Comment: “This one was taken at my friend Marilyn’s garden in California. Makes a beautiful clump. Nice tailored form.” – Laetitia, NJ
