From Cayeux et LeClerc’s catalog for 1927: “S. light purplish rose. F. of same shade but a little deeper. The general effect of the whole group is an unusually distinct old rose colour. Hardy and free growing. Height 3 ft.”
From Cayeux – LeClerc En Cie catalog for 1931: same as 1927 From Wayman’s ‘Rare Iris and Peonies’ catalog for 1936: “This is one of the most delightful pink toned iris I have ever seen. The special tone of pink is hard to describe but it is very lovely. Given a French Award of Merit.”
