TB 36″ EM

Often written with ‘Gloria Hortorum’ as if a sub-title.

White with light blue overlay. Yellow beard.

How might Gloria Hortorum have attached to this iris? Found in the 1782 Pére Rapin poem ‘Les Jardins’:

Mollis non ego, vos, Hortorum gloria…
Soft not I, you, the glory of gardens…

(Parthenon X unknown).

Note: Dr. Peter Werckmeister wrote in the early 1970’s that Havelberg was known there in Germany prior to the war, which would date it prior to the early Sass luminatas, Bertha Gersdorff and Moonlit Sea. ‘Luminata – Fancy in the Altogether’, MIS Genetics Study Panel; AIS Bull. #205; Apr 1972, pgs. 19-22.
