JI 36″ ML 6-F
From Melrose Gardens catalog for 1970: “Eight inch flowers are carried on 36″ stem which may be overdoing it, since you couldn’t miss the loud color commotion that these flowers create anyway. And besides that, it is very floriferous, sending up numerous strong stalks on an established clump. The wide, full and deeply fluted petals are a brash satsuma plum red, or purple, depending on which end of the spectrum you are looking from. Over this, widely spaced, decidedly bold white lines radiate out from a small white area around the yellow signal. Style areas are white bordered plum red.”
