TB 30″ M

From Cooley’s 1959 catalog: “This blackish red-brown is seldom seen and is but little known. The ruffled flowers are large and rounded in form, self colored, the beard deep bronze. There are no markings on the falls. Medium height, to 30″.”

From Lloyd Austin’s catalog for 1958: “A very intriguing new color described by the originator as a dark blackish-brown self that may also be termed a ‘chocolate red.’ Massive ruffled flowers with broad petals and heavy substance. Beard bronzy-gold. Most outstanding and different!”

From Eden Road Iris Garden catalog for 1961: “Dark blackish brown self, velvety, of fine form and large size. Haft is clean. Substance is heavy and petals are ruffled.”
