TB 36″ M R7M

From Robert Wayman’s catalog for 1939: 42″ I consider this one of our finest new red toned irises. It is almost identical with the superb Ethel Peckham, being exactly alike in color, but Joycette is taller and has a perfection of form that is not attained by any other red-toned iris. S neutral red; F – Bordeaux red. The entire flower is a brilliant fiery red with the sun shining through it. The flowers are large and freely produced. A large stock of extra fine rhizomes enables me to make a very attractive price on this variety this year.  .50.”

From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s Catalog for 1944: “A truly good red. Its nicely branched stems often carry two or three open blooms at the same time. Joycette is one of the largest in its color section and of a deep glowing crimson color, being practically a self.”
