Fuchsia bi-tone. At one time this iris was thought lost and the name was released to be applied to another variety (Whiting, 1954), but that variety was never introduced so the name was again released to Melba Hamblen (Karen 1984). The original has since come to light again and now there are three registered irises named Karen.

Provenance: Image 2 from garden of Lmunro, Newfoundland NJ 2010; iris acquired from Annamae Cummings, 2004.
