From Cooley’s Gardens catalog for 1978: “If you are partial to big bold blossoms, with a definitely tailored form, this rose-pink blend will appeal to you. The standards are folded together and the falls are very broad but without flare. The rosy color and the deep tangerine beard make this bright flower show up clear across the garden. It is the most brilliantly showy of our new introductions. The blooms are of very heavy substance, well-branched on a very tall, strong stem denoting a bright, sturdy plant which might be the highlight of your iris bed.”
From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s catalog for 1983: “Few Iris combine incredible size and good coloring with such stalwart stature and robust vigor as does Laurel Park. It produces a wide three-branched lofty stem of six to seven buds which literally flaunt the large saucer shaped flowers. Paradisaic is the rich shade of rose-salmon pink with prominent tangerine-orange beards. Definitely one of the largest flamingo-salmon pinks.”
