TB 40″ EM
From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s catalog for 1961: “Blue-black Iris have always been nuggets of color richness in the Iris colorama, but they have been essentially foreground Iris because of modest height. Imagine, therefore, a black-violet forty inches tall with unprecedented branching and exceptional size! Licorice Stick excels in luster as a “black” Iris should. Falls are the same color as the standards, but with a pronounced velvety nap. Even the beard is indigo violet. A stunningly beautiful Iris that we are happy to introduce.”
((Blue Glow x Black Belle) x Storm Warning) X ((Velvet Dusk x Black Valor) x Storm Warning), HM 1962, AM 1964.
