TB 38″ ML
From Schreiner’s Iris catalog for 1975: “An outstanding new iris from Eastern US. A crisp, clean cut, sharp blue neglecta of ideal form. Standards are light blue and the velvety falls are medium deep violet blue. Crisp, large, wide blooms. A lacquer-smooth jewel.”
((Snow Flurry x Whole Cloth) X Indiglow), HM 1972, AM 1973.
Provenance: Image 1 from Presby Iris Gardens, circa 2004.
There are some impostors of this iris being circulated, but they are not as striking as the original. The falls are not as deep and solid blue, and the beard is not as crisp and full. The original is a striking iris. Once you see it in person you will never get it mixed up with the impostor again.
