AB 10-12″ EM
From Melrose Gardens catalog for 1970: “A small iris that is half Onco, yet easy to grow, and one that will satisfy your intrigue with the strange and exotic. The form is globular as it should be in this class, full domed standards and falls that recurve downward. The color is a fuchsia-violet, but there is a white area across the hafts that is boldly marked dark violet, this veining continues on down the falls past the big dark black signals at the ends of the orange beards. Its small but it shouts for attention.”
From Eden Road Iris Garden catalog for 1973: “Aril-median. Dark fuchsia violet veined darker violet. White hafts are also veined. Large black signal enclosing tip of orange beard. Vigorous grower.”
(Bagdad Beauty X Knotty Pine), HM 1971, C.G. White Award 1976.
