TB 36″ L
From Keith Keppel’s catalog for 1979: “Distinctive deep orange self. There is a tan cast to the flower, more obvious in the falls and more permanent in cool weather, when the flower gives an almost ‘burnt orange’ garden effect. In very hot weather, as the brown influence lessens, a faint reddish undertoning may appear. The prominent beards are mandarin red. Standards conical to slightly open, falls semi-flaring. Ruffled and well laced, with extremely heavy substance. Three branches plus terminal, averaging nine buds. Moderate increase.”
