From Cooley’s Gardens catalog for 1945: “Pale ivory-flesh, particularly effective in dull weather. Much of the unusual color effect of this Iris is derived from the fiery tangerine-orange beard. No iris that we have ever grown has increased so rapidly and it is perfectly hardy, having been originated in New England.”

From Walter Marx’s Gardens catalog for 1948: “A pale flesh pink iris with the unique and flashy tangerine beard.”

From National Iris Gardens catalog for 1948: “Uniquely blended, this “one alone” iris is of salmony flesh color with delicate pale ivory pink standards and falls and a tangerine beard that enlivens the whole flower.”
