From Tell’s Iris Gardens catalog for 1951: “We have all been working for a ruffled pink, and this is one. The color is actually pinker than Pink Formal. The ruffling adds greatly to its charm. Of medium size and good substance, falls semi-flaring, standards closed. Here is a flower with a lot of what we call charm or personality. Should be highly useful for breeding pinks since there is some blood refreshment here in the use of Lancaster.”
From Fleur de Lis catalog for 1960: “A very pink, extra heavily ruffled flower with rich gilt edge, heavily crimped and laced. Lovely.”
From Eden Road Iris Garden 1958: “Charming ruffled pink that is very clean and clear. Very fine, parent of my new white with red beard, Pretty Gay.
