From Glen Road Iris Gardens catalog for 1931: “Like Jadu except that the ground color is white and the style branches are rose-pink. The standards are flushed rose-pink and the fine veins and dots are also pink; vigorous, free flowering, and well-branched. 33 in.”

From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s catalog for 1933: “Pink plicata of medium height. Standards almost completely veined. Falls have a very fine definite margin with brown hafts.”

From Robert Wayman’s catalog for 1940: “A very lovely white ‘Plicata’, with beautifully frilled and ruffled white standards, edged soft violet and with flaring falls of the same color and marking, with deep maroon veins at the throat and a deep orange beard. The color on the edge of the falls is in the form of a feather stitching, and on the standards the color is in the form of a soft flush and peppering. Altogether lovely.”
