TB 36″ M
From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s catalog for 1958: “Are you looking for a fresh-toned medium light blue of heavy substance, classic form, rugged constitution, fine height and extreme floriferousness – in other words, for an ideal garden blue that you can depend on for a mass of glorious color? If so, try Quicksilver. It is as rugged as it is beautiful and a clump will simply bowl you over with the exuberance of its bloom.”
Note: This variety was registered in 1950, but did not appear in the Schreiner’s catalog until 1953 – tho in the regular listings and not with that year’s introductions. Later catalogs list an intro date of 1953.
