TB 34″ E & Re
From Lloyd Austin’s catalog for 1963: “Fascinates every admirer due to its highly unique, alluring hoary white beard, so characteristic of the original ‘Rip.’ After the spring bloom it takes a summer slumber & then comes on again in the fall with another shower of bright flowers to add life to the autmn Iris garden. Standards light pinkish red; falls broad & rounded, bright crimson, contrasting wonderfully with the fetching white beards. Fine large flowers with falls sometimes over 3″ wide, even in fall. Sweetly fragrant. Foliage stays green all thru the fall blooming period. Bred from 2 Re-Bloomers.”
(Gibson Girl X California Pink).
