From Tell’s Iris Gardens catalog for 1951: “Large violet-blue with flush of purple in the center of both standards and falls making it quite distinct from any other iris. Has a strong tendency to produce an intensification, or flush of purple, in its seedlings. We think it will be highly useful as a parent.”
(Brunhilde X Sable), HM 1947.
