From Rene Cayeux’s catalog for 1939:  “S. buffy yellow with a faint haze of bluish lavender passing golden yellow at base. F. wide and flaring, soft bright pastel blue, gradually toning to soft yellow edges with dainty conspicuous veining at throat, beard bright golden yellow. Height 4 ft.”

From National Iris Gardens 1938 “A delightful French introduction which won a prize abroad. S. soft grey faintly flushed soft bluish lavender. F. flaring soft pastel-blue, gradually blending to soft yellow at the edges. Golden beard and throat.

CM SNHF 1931.

Comment: “This is one of my tallest and last of the TB’s. I do not agree with the color description from National. I find it to have a strange blend of creamy light yellow standards, and bright violet falls which fade to lemon on the edges with age. It has excellent substance, lasts for a few days, and is a nice sight when most other TB’s are finishing up.” – Laetitia, NJ
