From Treholme Gardens catalog for 1928: “S. lavender-blue; F. horizontal, violet-blue; red, brown and white reticulations; orange beard. Of Lord of June type but better standard and more brown in falls. A very attractive flower of wonderful form.”

From Quality Gardens catalog for 1931: “An exceedingly strong grower with tall rigid stems and very large flowers of fine shape. S. silky white strongly shaded azure blue. F. brilliant aniline blue. Throat heavily veined gold and maroon on the white at the base.
