TB 36″ E
From Cooley’s Gardens catalog for 1951: “A very large deep yellow self, clear and clean, with a rich yellow bead and no haft marking. Perfection in form, tailored and flaring, the 3 foot stems widely branched. This iris won the President’s Cup in 1947.”
(Gold Medal X #41-22), HM 1947, AM 1952.
Note:< While the 1949 Check List notes Zantha as being registered in 1947 and as ‘not introduced’, it is seen in the catalogs with this 1947 date attached to it. Anyone have Fay’s catalog that would have introduced it?
